Corrections Policy

If a KittyUI Theme page is wrong, I want it fixed in public. I am Basanta. Email classytechstudio@gmail.com with the page URL and the mistake. When I change a fact, the date under the title changes, and the article's update history says what moved.

The test behind the current guides is one phone: a Redmi Note 14 5G Global on HyperOS 3.0, used for about a month. A correction has to respect that. I will fix my own errors quickly. I will not relabel your phone as my test.

What to send

  • The full page URL
  • The sentence or step that is wrong
  • What you saw instead
  • Phone model, Global or not, and the HyperOS version
  • Whether you used the Theme Store or a .mtz file

A useful note names the page, then the phone and the symptom, in that order. I will not publish your email address. A screenshot can stay private even if I correct the page.

Do not send your lock PIN, Xiaomi password, or verification code. The correction does not need them.

What happens next

  1. I read the message and open the page you named.
  2. If I can see that my sentence is wrong on its own, I fix it. A mistyped menu path is this kind of fix.
  3. If the report is about a phone I have not used, I either leave the page alone or add a clearly labeled reader report. I do not write tested by me under your model.
  4. If I can repeat the issue on my Note 14 5G, I update the tested section and say what I did.
  5. The date under the title changes on the day I change the page. Where the article has an update history, I add a line.

How labels survive a correction

Tested by me stays attached to the Redmi Note 14 5G Global unless I name a new device I have used myself. Not tested by me stays on the MTZ Installer route, other phones, other HyperOS versions, custom ROMs, battery comparisons, and removal until I have actually done that test and written the date.

Fixes I will not invent

Some gaps are waiting on a real test, not on a better guess. I will not fill them from a comment thread.

  • A battery, heat, or speed result. I did not measure those against the default theme
  • A confirmed removal back to the Default theme. The steps can stay as a path to try. They become a result only after I confirm them on my phone
  • A fix for a missing Apply button, or for a Themes app that is not in the app picker. I do not have a tested fix, so I will not publish a guessed one
  • A claim that CAT17 unlocks every feature immediately. On my phone it did not

Theme Store updates

Software moves. The update I saw myself was a Theme Store update that stopped the depth-effect wallpaper. Turning Depth of field effect off and on restored it. If you see a different change, tell me the version and the screen. If I see the same change on my phone, it goes into the update history as my observation. If I do not, it can be a labeled reader report or it can wait.

Where you will see the update

  • The date under the page title
  • The update history on the review or the install guide, when the change is about the theme rather than a typo
  • A rewritten sentence in place, so the old instruction does not keep circulating on the same URL

I do not post a public list of every typo. A factual change that could send someone to the wrong menu is recorded. A comma is just fixed.

Corrections to these policy pages

The same inbox covers the policy pages. If a sentence here does not match the site, for example if analytics are added and this file still says they are absent, that is a correction and the date has to move. The privacy and cookie pages are part of that promise.

How do I report an error on KittyUI Theme?

Will you mark my phone as tested by you?

No. Tested by me means I did the step on my Redmi Note 14 5G Global. Your report stays a reader report until I reproduce it or test that model myself.

Do you publish my email if I send a correction?

No. I may quote the symptom. I do not publish your address.

How do I know a page changed?

The date under the title changes. Theme behavior also gets a line in the article update history.
