Cookie Policy

This cookie policy explains the cookies KittyUI Theme (kittyuitheme.com) may store on your browser, and the ones I was not using on 31 October 2026. I am Basanta. I publish the site. The privacy policy covers email, comments, and deletions: https://kittyuitheme.com/privacy-policy/

A cookie is a small text file the site asks your browser to hold. Some last until you close the browser. Some last for a set number of days. On this site they remember the name, email, and website you save on a comment, a login that belongs to me, or a host security check. They are not an ad profile.

Cookies WordPress may set

On 31 October 2026 the site was running WordPress 7.1.4. These are the WordPress cookies that software uses. You will not get the editor cookies unless you are me, logged in.

CookieWhen it is setWhyHow long

If you never comment and never log in, you may only meet the test cookie, or a short-lived cookie from the host's verification screen.

The host verification screen

The host can show a page that asks you to wait while your request is verified, before the article appears. That check may set a temporary cookie so the next click is not challenged. I do not use it to decide which article to show you, and I do not use it for advertising. The cookie name is the host's, and it can change, so I am not locking a name into this page.

Cookies this site was not using

On 31 October 2026 I did not find these on the public pages:

  • Google Analytics cookies
  • Meta or Facebook pixel cookies
  • Google Ads or other advertising cookies
  • A cookie banner from a consent plugin, because no ad or analytics cookie was there to ask about

If I add any of those later, I will update this page and the privacy policy first, name the tool, and change the date under the title.

Requests that are not cookies

Two things can leave the site without being cookies. Gravatar (gravatar.com) may receive an image request when a comment avatar loads. WordPress.org (s.w.org) may receive an image request when an emoji is shown. Both can see your IP address. Details are in the privacy policy. Clearing cookies does not stop those image requests. Not loading the avatar or the emoji does.

How to remove cookies

You can delete cookies in your browser settings, or block them. If you block all cookies, the comment form's save box will not remember you, and my own editor login will not stay signed in. The articles themselves are written to be readable without a cookie.

Browser makers move the menus. The reliable path is the browser's help page for “clear cookies,” then remove cookies for kittyuitheme.com. I am not listing a click-path for every browser because those paths go stale and I have not rechecked each one for this page.

Changes

This policy matches the site I checked on 31 October 2026. A new plugin, a new ad network, or a new host check can add a cookie. When that happens, the table and the date change together.

Questions people ask

Does KittyUI Theme use advertising cookies?

No. None were in use on 31 October 2026.

Do I have to accept cookies to read a guide?

No. You can read with cookies blocked. The save-my-details box on a comment will not work without them.

Only if you tick the box to save your name, email, and website. Those cookies last about 347 days. Your email is still not published on the page.

What is the verification page?

A short wait screen from the host that checks the request is genuine. It may set a temporary cookie. It is not an analytics tool I installed.
